upon him, informed us of the reward of one who performs hajj without making sins and

mistakes.

Know that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him said, “Whosoever

performs hajj without making sins and mistakes he will be coming back pure of sins

like when he was first born.

Define Wudoo’.

Know that the Ummah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, will have a

shining light in the parts of their bodies that are washed by water during wudoo’ on

the Day of Judgment.

Identify when Wudoo’ is needed.

Learn what one should say after making wudoo’.

Know that in the dua that we should make after completing wudoo’, we ask Allah to

make us from those who repent and those who are pure.

Know that the first step in making wudoo’ is making your intention, or niyyah.

Define Thikr

Know that the best form of thikr is to say La ilaha illallah

Define the terms: Subhan-Allah, Alhamdullilah, Salla Allahu Alayhi wa Sallam

Define Zakah

Know that Zakah is fard, this means it is required of Muslims.

Know the meaning of zakah.

Describe the importance of Zakah

Know that the importance of giving zakah is to purify our hearts from greed and

selfishness.

Define Sadaqah.

Know that the difference between sadaqah and zakah is that zakah is fard, Muslims

are required to give it while sadaqah is optional charity but highly recommended.

Know that money is not the only way to give sadaqah. Other kinds of sadaqah can

be given such as: Smiling at others, removing something harmful from the road,

sharing your lunch with someone who forgot his, picking up litter, helping someone

carry a heavy load, saying a kind word is sadaqah, etc.

Understand the hadeeth of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that charity

never decreases money.

Describe how cleanliness is part of Islam.

Know that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said that half of your faith

(belief) is being clean and pure.

Describe how we are to keep our bodies clean.

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, taught us the importance of taking

regular baths. He especially reminded us to bathe before going to the Friday

prayer, since it’s our weekly holiday.
