Assalaamu alaykum,
Sister Nazia was out today and the principal covered the class. We had a discussion on whether students felt like they have a feeling of belonging in American society. All students much to our delight stated that they do. We then had a discussion on wearing a Hijaab and whether it made them feel a lack of belonging. Many stated that it does not. We also discussed the following statement made in the book: “Men can perform rough and physically challenging jobs that women in general cannot. On the other hand women can bear children and provide superb emotional and physical care for her children and family. The husband cannot perform these important tasks as well. Therefore men and women should recognize their differences, while at the same time finding ways to complement each other in a moral and positive manner.”
There was a difference of opinion in regards to this statement. Please write at a minimum half a page report on whether you agree or disagree and why.
