Today we studied conclusion of Surat Al Fatiha:
1- In “الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ” Allah states, and the Muslim affirms, that He is the Master of all creation and their sustainer.
2- “الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ” Allah re-affirms that the relationship between Allah and His creations is that of a kind, merciful and compassionate God. We should be also kind, merciful and compassionate towards Allah’s creation.
3- “ مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ” Allah states, and the Muslim affirms, that there is Day of Judgement that Allah is the King of that day when the Muslim will be judged on his acts & deeds.
4- “إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ” The Muslim declares that Allah is the only one he obeys, fears, worships and seeks assistance from in all his deeds.
5- “اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ “ The heart of Surat Alfateha is the Muslim mainly asks Allah for guidance to the straight with its 2 components: knowledge of right / wrong and ability to follow upon that knowledge.
6- “صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ “ That straight path is the one Allah had bestowed his kindness upon like the prophets & their companions; “غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ “ not the path of those who had knowledge of right / wrong but choose to do wrong “وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ “ nor the path of those who failed to gain knowledge of right / wrong.
7- The word Ameen is not part of Surat Alfatiha.
Home work:
1- Read at least one page of Quran daily and the meanings. Give it priority over all else 1st thing in the morning.
2- Make a weekly check chart for the daily things you should be doing including, but not limited to, the 5 daily pryers, daily Quran, being best to parents, chores, …etc…
3- Think of the meaning of Surat Alfatiha during your prayers especially asking Allah for guidance to the straight with its 2 components. If you do so at least 17 times a day, He will guide you definitely.
4– Prepare for quiz.
