In this chapter, we learned about the Prophet (saw)’s early life living with his uncle Abu Talib after the death of his grandfather Abdul Muttalib. We learned how the Prophet (saw) helped his family by working as a shepherd. As a young man, the Prophet (saw) helped his uncle on a trading trip to Makkah, where they encountered a Christian priest named Baheera. Baheera recognized that Muhammad (saw) was a special man and told Abu Talib to take great care of him.
Even as a young man, the Prophet (saw) was known for being honest, fair, and kind. He disliked when the people of Quraysh worshipped idols and would go up into the mountains to think alone.
