a. The Ka’bah was built by Prophet Ibraheem and his son Ismaeel. It is located in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

a. The Ka’bah is the first house of worship built on Earth.
3. Why did Abraha want to destroy the Ka’bah?
a. Abraha was jealous of the Ka’bah and Makkah. He built a big church in Yemen for everyone to visit, and wanted people to love the church more than the Ka’bah. He told people to stop visiting the Ka’bah but the Arabs did not listen to him. So Abraha became mad and wanted to destroy the Ka’bah.
4. Who is Abdul-Muttalib? What made him tell the people of Makkah to leave?
a. Abdul-Muttalib was the leader of Makkah. He told the people of Makkah to leave for their own safety from Abraha’s army.
5. Why was Abdul-Muttalib not worried about the Ka’bah?
a. He had faith (IMAN) that Allah would protect the ka’bah.

a. Whenever the elephants were told to go to the Ka’bah, they would run away from it! They refused to destroy the Ka’bah because they were obeying Allah’s commands, not Abraha’s!

a. Allah sent a flock of birds over Makkah. By Allah’s command, the birds were holding stones in their claws and beaks. They dropped the stones onto Abraha and his army. Abraha and his army were destroyed!

a. Once the Ka’bah was rebuilt, the chiefs of the Quraysh started fighting over who got to put the Black Stone (Al Hajar Al Aswad) in the right corner. They all wanted the honor of placing the holy stone in the right place.
24. How did the chiefs of the Quraysh choose Muhammad (saw) to solve their problem?
a. Prophet Muhammad (saw) was the first person to walk into the courtyard, so he was chosen to decide. They were happy since Muhammad was known as As-Sadiq al-Amin.

a. Muhammad (saw) placed the black stone on a cloth, and then had all the chiefs hold the cloth together to lift up the stone. Then Muhammad (saw) himself placed the stone in the right place.

a. She had great manners and a good character. When Prophet Muhammad (saw) came to work for her, she was impressed by him and wanted to marry him. So she had a friend talk to his family.
